We are hiring an Outside Sales Representative to sell seafood products to restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, markets, grocery stores, industrial food service groups and other companies predominately in Northern California. Come join our Team!!!
Location – South San Francisco, Ca
Pay – $72,000/yr
Schedule – Monday – Friday
Daily Responsibilities and Duties:
- Developing and executing sales strategies that will secure new and ideal clients.
- Going on weekly sales calls to existing and potential clients.
- Speaking with your clients to identify if they have any needs (issues), communicating those needs (issues) to the relevant departments at then working with those departments to solve your client’s needs (issues).
- Emailing in your clients’ orders (if needed) in the correct format and with the correct nomenclature.
- Pickup phone calls to the company landline and deal with customer needs or issues.
- Monitor, check and reply to emails as well as customer inquiries.
- Creating weekly sales reports that highlight market news, client needs (issues), updates and changes for customers and any other relevant information that should be included in a standard sales report.
Qualifications:
- 5 years’ experience in the seafood industry and in the Bay Area food industry – specifically in restaurants, hotels, retail markets, country clubs, etc.
- Extensive knowledge that demonstrates expertise on seafood products (both fresh and frozen).
- Acute awareness of current industry trends and problems relating to the sustainability aspects, culinary aspects and availability of seafood products.
- Experience in sales and/or service.
- A willingness to follow up on sales leads and knowing how to close deals.
